Ibrahim Sangare: Manchester United and Chelsea interested in PSV and Ivory Cost midfielder
****************************
Ibrahima Sangare is a PSV player who is interested in joining Manchester United this summer.
According to the Dutch media, Sangare has a 35m release clause in his contract and has been linked with a number of English clubs.
A source close to the player said he wants to move to England to play in the top flight.
Sangare joined PSV from Toulouse in September of 2020 and has three years left on his deal.
PSV won the Dutch cup, finished second in the league and reached the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League last season, with the Ivorian playing 49 times in all competition.
The graphic below shows how Sangare excelled in a number of key metrics while playing in the 4-3-3 formation.
N'Golo Kante had some injuries this season.
The sanctions placed on the club by the UK government were lifted when the Todd Boehly-led consortium took control of the club last month.
The squad would need a rebuild this summer, with a number of players possibly leaving, according to head coach Thomas Tuchel.
There are doubts over the futures of N'Golo Kante and Jorginho, who only have a year left on their contracts.
In the last two seasons, N'Golo Kante has only started 45 of a possible 76 games for the club, and it was a "miracle" that they finished third in the league.
It's no surprise that the Blues want to strengthen in that area because Kante is the only natural ball-winner in their squad.
Ten Hag wants to improve the midfield.

The club's change of leadership may benefit ten Hag, according to Louis van Gaal.
Manchester United are also expected to be active in the transfer market this summer, with the new manager looking to improve the squad he has inherited after arriving from Amsterdam.
The club's need to change a squad that failed to win a trophy for the fifth successive season was one of the topics discussed by the interim manager.
There is an obvious need for improvement in the middle of the field, with Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic leaving United on free transfers this summer.
The only central midfielders currently available to Ten Hag are Scott McTominay, Fred and Donny van de Beek, who spent the second half of the 2021/22 season on loan atEverton.
The manager knows Sangare well, having spent the past two seasons together in the Eredivisie, and he claimed an assist in PSV's Dutch cup final victory.
